Sales Support Specialist

Sales Support Specialists are key to extending a “worry-free experience” to our Waterfield Tech sales team. As part of our sales team, specialists ensure accurate, efficient communications with our partners, their customers, and within our own internal teams. This role is responsible for project management from quote to order and providing white glove service to contribute to continued growth in sales. Specialists are integral to handling the internal process management so the account executive can focus on revenue-generating issues. 

Responsibilities

  • Help troubleshoot problems with customer orders, customer accounts, and other related issues.
  • Work directly with manufacturers for small to mid-business leads
  • Build, maintain and grow relationships with vendors
  • Build, maintain and grow relationships within the existing customer base to increase sales
  • Provide the sales team with data reports and sales guides
  • Monitor sales performance through sales tracking tools and report progress to sales representatives
  • Identify and keep up with sales trends
  • Work with account managers to create and implement targeted sales strategies.
  • Keep up with new product sales launches and make sure the sales team is up to date.
  • Provide customer service by staying on top of pending orders and customer requests
  • Answering customer inquiries, scheduling meetings and sales appointments, and following up with customers about their order status.
  • Recording sales trends and liaising with account managers to develop sales strategies.
  • Creating and processing orders in a timely manner, processing requests for rush orders, and reviewing pending orders and customer requests to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Managing customer accounts, following up with customers for administrative purposes, and providing troubleshooting assistance for orders, account statuses, and other problems.
  • Handling administrative duties for the company and its executives and management teams.
  • Scheduling customer meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma is required, but an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in computer software systems, including MS Office 365 programs, CRM Tools, etc
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management software and data analysis
  • Excellent motivational skills and works well with a team but also able to work alone
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and dedication to customer satisfaction
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Knowledge of sales practices and the most efficient customer service techniques
  • Ability to interpret sales metrics and perform data entry
  • Ability to pay strong attention to detail
  • Effectively leverage resources to solve business issues and prove value.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement throughout the organization
