Solutions Consultant / Pre-Sales Engineer

Waterfield Technologies is looking for a Solutions Consultant / Pre-Sales Engineer.

The Solutions Consultant is a hands-on pre-sales role. As a member of the sales team, you will be instrumental in understanding our customer’s business and technical requirements and fueling our growth. The Solutions Consultant is responsible for supporting the sales team in meeting license and subscription revenue targets through executing a business-driven sales methodology that links our solutions with the prospect’s business drivers.

  • Listening to customers’ and prospects’ problems and needs,
  • Communicating our vision for their solution, and
  • Leading compelling, customized product demonstrations

Responsibilities

  • Discovery: listening and asking good questions
  • Design: applying innovative thinking and best practices to every proposal
  • Document: lead the creation of proposals, presentations, technical drawings, quotes, and statements of work
  • Demonstration: deliver presentations and demos tailored to each customer’s need
  • Defend: effectively handle objections, and provide alternative solutions
  • Deliver: finalize documentation and effectively hand off the project to implementation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering, business administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2+ years of experience in sales and sales processes highly desired.
  • 2+ years of experience as a systems administrator or business user of Contact Center technologies including one or more of the following: PBX, ACD, Dialer, IVR, AI /IVA, UX Design, Interaction Recording, Quality Management, Workforce Management, Reporting, Performance Management, Engagement Analytics, and Business Intelligence.
  • Understanding of and experience selling enterprise contact architecture as a trusted advisor is a plus.
  • Exhibits prior and current technical expertise in contact center, self-service, and web technology, as well as both the ability and desire to learn new technology.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, fluency in written and spoken English, including technical and business concepts.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Work at Home / Home Office required you to bring your own high-speed internet access, bring your own cell phone, and a company-provided laptop.
  • Ability to travel throughout the US and Internationally, as needed, is required. Travel is frequently required to perform the essential requirements of this role. While the amount of travel varies.
