Staff Accountant

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, performing various accounting tasks, reconciliations, and analyses. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Recording and Reporting:

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Process and review invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies.
  • Assist with the collection of accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
  • General Ledger Maintenance:
  • Maintain the general ledger by accurately recording and classifying various financial transactions.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies, investigating and addressing any variances.

Bank Reconciliations:

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded, and discrepancies are identified and resolved.
